8th Annual Hanover Trails Hike Challenge
Get Outdoors and Explore

Welcome to the 8th Annual Hanover Trails Hike Challenge, a program of the Town of Hanover Parks & Recreation and the Hanover Conservancy. This summer’s challenge offers 9 hikes on 8 different properties spread across Hanover and, for the first time, we’ve included one hike “just beyond our borders” in West Lebanon. When you register you will receive a booklet containing maps, directions, property descriptions, and hiking guidelines. Each hike has a special destination where you will find a wooden marker with an image for you to draw.

Complete 6 of 9 hikes by the end of September and you will be eligible for a raffle of prizes generously donated by the following local businesses: King Arthur Flour, Umplebys, Dan & Whits, Stateline Sports, Blue Sparrow Kitchen, Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS), Blue Sky Restaurant Group, Ramuntos, and more

The registration fee has a small fund-raising component to help with costs associated with maintaining the hundreds of miles of hiking trails in Hanover. For each $6 registration fee, $2 is donated to a Trails Stewardship Fund.  Money raised through the Trails Challenge will go towards the replacement of the log crossing at the Mink Brook Nature Preserve.
